run your race: confessions of a slow runner

A friend of mine ran CARA's Lakefront 10-miler today. She facebook'ed that they didn't even have a pace group for her pace. Been there done that! 12:00 minutes per mile (my 'slower pace' pace) is what I refer to as "the booty" pace, the last of the straight running paces, and often times, not available. Instead they'll have the run/walk pace groups, and "oh, can't you just go with them?"

But it suddenly it occurred to me that maybe the pace sign you need, in some instances, is THE FINISH LINE! (Dammit!!!!) So that's what I told her.

Run your race, run your pace.
