run #49

How much: 6 (run walk intervals--think Galloway method)
How long: 1:17:17 (pace 12:53)
Where: Lakefront (south)
When: 9:20am; 58 degrees
April miles: 41
Total 2014 miles: 168.72

Hmm. So...intrigued, I ran 6 miles using a galloway-ish method of intervals, somewhat inspired by a friend who ran farther than she thought she could yesterday. I was originally gonna run a straight 5 miles and said "what the hell, I'll go 6."

Intervals are ok I guess. I'm not sure how I feel about it--need a day or so to think about it. I started out at 4:1 (run 4 walk 1) but got tired and warm, ten went down to 3:1. Felt like I might have started out to fast, and I took a few longer walking breaks. But I ran farther than I have since September, so that's good.

Sigh.

I have to stop mentally beating myself up when I'm over a 12:00 pace though.

The lakefront was lovely.
