But whether your a former Olympian and winner of several world majors marathons, or a simple runner who fits in their training regimen before/after work, with longer runs on the weekend, there's one thing we all have in common:
We're human. We all have fears and doubts to overcome. We experience setbacks. Sometimes it's our sheer will that propels us forward. So even though I'm not out winning marathons (or any other running distance for that OBVIOUS matter), I see the very human side to this story that we all can relate to, world champions and "weekend warriors" alike. I am proud of Meb and happy for him. It's been a long time coming.
And really, don't you want your own version of "it's been a long time coming" finish line successes?
Congrats, Meb Keflezighi, 2014 Boston Marathon winner.
I'm inspired.

Meb did a great job at Boston. It is awesome to see a legend like him out there still dominating.
