Wow...and they wait til damn near COB Friday to make the decision? Which means out of towners whose flights were still on are probably on their way or already there, given packet pickup requirements. That SUCKS. They shoulda made the call earlier in the week, bc now people are spending money they didn't have to. Personally, I suppose it's the right call. But if it were done on Tuesday or Wednesday, no harm no foul. Ya see, the thing that some people might not get is, chances are that if you managed to get IN to the race in the first place, and then you can physically get there, you're gonna go. People wait a lifetime to get into this race. NYRR (New York Road Runners and the City shoulda called this days ago.)
