Ladies, even when you're taken (translation: married, seeing someone, hoping to be seeing someone), it's still nice to get a compliment from some other person just to verify that you are, in fact, still "marketable." Well after I'd already gotten ready and was just about to wake up the girls, there was this loud banging at the door...WTH? So I go to the door and it's the City...the water department...do you have any of the cars out front? We need them to be moved so we can (blah blah blah), we're getting new water lines. Sweet. In a "homeowner" kind of way. Anyway....

So I move the car and then also move the carseats out b/c hubby and I are switching cars so that he can take mine to the shop, blah blah blah....so anyway, I was out there awhile. As I come back to the house, this guy in his PERFECT most Chicago southside white guy accent (think Saturday Night Live "Da Bears"), he says "You know maam, you are one good looking lady." Now some people might be offended by this...but you have to know when someone is giving you a compliment or not, and take it as that, don't get all hung up in sexism and feminism... So I looked at him and said "Thank you!" and went back into the house smirking, thinking 'my husband sure is lucky to have me!"
