What are you training for?
It occurred to me while contemplating my October and looking forward to November that I'm setting myself up to be in a good place come January-ish (or February-ish for sure) when it's time to start training for my first half marathon of the season. I'm currently training for my training, in which that training will lead me to my best running shape ever. Not like "I hope it leads me to that," but more like "Yeah. It definitely will." So if anyone asks me what I'm training for, I'm just going to say "I'm training for my training."
(Not that anyone is going to ask. I'm just saying.)
